COVID-19 Response: Updated Cancellation Policies (RoboBoat and RoboSub)

[The text below was sent via email to 2020 RoboBoat and RoboSub Team Leads from Hitesh Patel, Robotic Programs Director on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.]
Hello Teams, As we approach the 2020 competition season, we are mindful and aware of the dire situation each team may be faced with. RoboNation is here, as always, to ensure your competition experience is not jeopardized. At this time our 2020 competitions (RoboBoat and RoboSub) are scheduled to proceed as planned, however, to better cater to your dynamic needs, we have extended the 100% refund cancellation deadline. RoboBoat cancellation policy – https://roboboat.org/2019/10/22/competition-cancellation-policy/ RoboSub cancellation policy – https://robosub.org/2019/10/22/competition-cancellation-policy/ The cancellation policy has been updated such that it works in your favor and hopefully gives you ample time to evaluate your participation in the 2020 competition season. We will provide more information as time goes on but rest assured that our goal is to accommodate your needs in the best way possible. We are currently planning on hosting webinars (technical and non-technical) with sponsors and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to facilitate your educational experience while social distancing (something you may be familiar with as engineers 😉, I know I am). If you feel there are additional resources that may be better suited, please let us know and we will work to provide you with the best solution. Check the below link for RoboNation’s updates regarding the current health situation. www.robonation.org/coronavirus Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions you may have. Thank you for your time and stay safe.
