Skill Development
Skill Development

A common refrain among human resource and hiring managers is that people get hired for hard skills and fired for soft skills – or more accurately, for a lack of soft skills. 75% of employers say they have a difficult time finding employees with the soft skills their company needs. College students that were taught hard technical skills find that those they know are obsolete or no longer used by the time they graduate. Before students can understand how to get along in the work environment they must understand themselves. How they think, how they communicate what their strengths are.

“What’s so great about a degree in something if you only know about it, and not how to teach it, use it, or understand why people want or need it?”

In the RoboNation Interpersonal Career Skills Boot Camp, we will focus on career readiness as the foundation from which to demonstrate requisite core competencies that broadly prepare the college educated for success in the workplace and lifelong career management.
