From Daryl Davidson
President and CEO, RoboNation

The RoboNation community, the US Navy Diving Community, a family, and our world lost a great man recently.

Kirk Pyle passed on March 27th. I had the pleasure last weekend to attend a Celebration of Life in Panama City, FL. It was a fitting tribute to the larger-than-life person that Kirk was, and a reminder of the vast legacy that Kirk will leave. I first met Kirk in 1998, the first year of our RoboSub competition. From that year forward, he became an integral part of our events and he also became a personal friend. RoboNation and I will miss Kirk.

RoboNation and I will miss Kirk.

To those of us who had the privilege of spending time with Kirk – at RoboSub, or RoboBoat, or RobotX — we have plenty of smiles, laughs and memories. And a great many life lessons.

Thank you, Kirk.
