May 8, 2020 Statement: 2020 RoboSub Competition Status Update The health and safety of the RoboNation community remain the highest priority for our team, as we continue monitoring the COVID-19 situation. With the spread continuing around the world and areas being affected in different ways, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the in-person portion of the 2020 RoboSub Competition. This decision comes shortly after making the decision to cancel the in-person portion of the 2020 RoboBoat Competition. At this time, the remaining 2020 RoboNation event, the Maritime RobotX Challenge is still scheduled for its original dates, listed below. We will continue to monitor recommendations from the health, public safety, and transportation authorities in Hawai’i, where RobotX is hosted and will use those recommendations to make any future determinations concerning the event.
