August 6, 2020 Statement: 2020 RobotX Status Update
The health and safety of the RoboNation community remain our highest priority. As the effects of COVID-19 are spreading around the world, we know that many regions are continuing to face school and office closures, travel restrictions, and other challenges that affect each of our daily lives.
As a result, we have decided to make some major changes to RobotX 2020. They are as follows:
1. The physical competition scheduled for December 2020 in Hawaii has been cancelled.
2. We are working to create a second Virtual RobotX Challenge. The 2021 version of the Virtual RobotX Challenge will be designed to help your team better prepare for the RobotX Challenge 2022 and its new tasks.
Our intent with these changes, is to allow you to remain active and engaged no matter the status of your school’s opening. We will make an announcement as soon as there are more details to share with you.
